I find this place to be very helpful. They helped me to decide to choose life and work towards recovery. Give it a chance.
I got help and felt like the staff was caring but I'm not sure what happened with my moms visit.
My first time through for their substance abuse inpatient treatment was a mixed bag... They were vastly understaffed and only a few of the counsellors legitimately cared about what they were doing. The attendees, however, couldn't be bothered to treat us patients with any sort of dignity. I was also led to believe during my initial assessment that they would help with finding me sober living environments when it was time for me to be discharged, however, they merely gave me a printed off list of possible housing options and sent me on my way with a prescription of Suboxone and a half-hearted good luck pat-on-the-back.
My medical doctor sent me to Valle Vista after throwing her hands up unable to deal with me. I suffer severe anxiety and had a nervous breakdown, waiting to get in took forever and the nurse actually forgot me. That said once I was in the staff was very polite and kind to me. They understood I was an extreme case and did all they could to make me comfortable. They weren't the best at letting my mom know what was going on, and not the best at giving me my messages. However, I left feeling a lot better, and the medicine they gave me has helped me calm down significantly. I didn't like not being able to close my door and i hated how loud it was but the staff was very kind.
Bringing my pre teen. Seems like a nice place but the wait time even with an appointment is about 4 hours.
tbh the Valle helped me with everything. i left July 5th 2017 and was in there 11 months and i appreciate everything the residential staff did fa me even when i was being defiant i can't necessarily speak for the other units but i know all the therapist did what they needed to do to help me. Ms.Natalie put a lot of effort into me while i was there but i didn't listen to her for majority of the time but now i can sit back n think she was a blessing in my life and was the best therapist I've ever had. if your daughter needs any type of help i'd recommend sending her to the residential side and she will get the help she needs from all the staff .. JUST DON"T BLOCK YOUR BLESSINGS BECAUSE IT MIGHT BE THE BEST THING THAT'S EVER HAPPENED IF YOU SEND SOMEONE OR GO HERE YOURSELF if not just use radical acceptance and accept the things you can not change.
Tbh I had a pretty good experience they helped me alot I attempted suicide and self harmed I stayed for about a week and the people there helped alot as long as you were respectful and willing to cooperate it was a great place I felt comfortable there with the people and got what I needed the only things id change is warmer showers and more comfortable beds they weren't too bad but could be better its been a year since I went i am no longer depressed or selfharming im as happy as can be I really appreciate their help Id recommend this place to anyone struggling with mental health issues
I went here over 2 yrs ago for 6 days and have been clean since. I really liked it! Staff was great.! 😀
Would highly recommend to any family member, friend or loved one! Clean facility with professional and caring staff.
Awesome outpatient service that really helped me, everyone who works here is warm and inviting, met a lot of great people who faced similar issues to my own thus making me grow more as a person, thank you guys for all your help!!!
I was a patient in there residential unit, and had a stay from Oct. 9, 2015 to July 27, 2016, so for about a year. I am 16 years old and had lots of trouble with my anger and major depression diagnosis and i found the program very helpful. The staff were always very caring and helpful towards me, but i will say that they did pick favorites and i happened to be one of them.
I took my son to this place this past week. I am really happy with our experience. Even my son was happy. That is important to me that he feels comfortable and engages. So much better than the other place we have used in the past. They kept me informed about him daily. very nice and respectful.
I had an amazing experience here! I've struggled with mental health issues my whole life. When I came to Valle Vista I was treated like an individual, a person, not a number. Most of the staff were incredibly helpful. After 15+ years of psychiatric institutions, Valle Vista was what I was needing the whole time. I was put with other patients with similar diagnoses so I didn't feel uncomfortable. Being around people who know what you're going through and can talk to you in an intelligent manner is what made all of the difference for me. I had a Gene Sight test done shortly after my discharge and I've never felt so amazing. Between the test and Valle Vista, I no longer am being held down/back by my depression, PTSD, OCD, and anxiety. Most of the negative posts are from people who came for a "quick fix" and had no desire to continue working towards their health after discharge. Or people that didn't give the program a chance (I wanted to leave the first night but my roommate talked me into staying). BEST DECISION EVER!!
They didn't have a bed for me at first on the psych unit. The drug rehab is absolutely horrible. They just drug people up and it's very dirty. Once I was moved to the psych unit, it was like a whole different place. The majority of staff truly cared. The psych unit was also somewhat dirty.
